Since antiquity, Arcadia stands for an idyllic place, a heavenly dwelling, a paradise… this is what we tried to create with Villa Arcadia.
Villa Arcadia stands in a spacious, 2.5 acres swaying palm garden, inhabited by colorful birds and butterflies.
It faces an endless golden beach, a shimmering ocean, and incredible sunsets.
The stunning, 320 square meters luxury Eco villa has been designed to blur the boundaries between its interior and its magic surroundings.
Its Swiss architect has taken the inside-outside living concept to the extreme.
Three “walls” of the villa are removable, creating an entire house that can be almost completely and breathtakingly
opened to the great outdoors.
The Villa harmony has been achieved by the use golden ratio proportions, high-vaulted ceilings, use of tropical hardwoods,
continuous solid teakwood floors, sculpted column alleys, natural glittery-white quartzite-stone cladding panels,
rounded tiles, long infinity pool reflecting the sun and the palms, ample use of white color, allowing the light
to illuminate the Villa through the very large windows etc.
The interior of Villa Arcadia offers a lot of space, light, and luxury.
Eight persons can comfortably sleep and live in this idyllic place.
The Villa features two double-floor suites, each with a king-size bed on the lower floor
and 2 single beds that can be put together on the upper floor.
Comfortable sleeping being a top priority, 12 inches-thick supreme-comfort matrasses, micro gel cushions,
and the highest quality tencel linen and Italian Basetti / Zucchi bedding are used in all beds.
Both suites offer panoramic ocean views. Each suite has its own spacious terrace with a tea sitting for four.
Each suite has an integrated designed bathroom with polished cement shower walls, satin brass fittings,
teak floor, and a very large window opening to the palm garden.
Herbal shampoos, soaps, and luxury towels are provided.
Two luxurious towers have been built to accommodate the toilets,
that are joined to the suites through teak bridges.
Spacious living area of some 80 square meters, with a 6 meters-high vaulted ceiling, features the finest leather sitting
and a large glass dining table for eight persons in Corbusier-design.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with a modern gas stove, a combined microwave-oven, a large refrigerator,
a full set of porcelain, golden-plated cutlery, wine and water glasses, Italian espresso cups, a set of pans, a full range of utensils etc.
Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for eight persons and housekeeping are part of our offering.
Soft drinks, wine / beer and snacks can be ordered extra.
You will be served Western, Asian, or Fusion cuisine, at your choice.

and contribute to your authentic experience of the jewel island of Sri Lanka.
Villa Arcadia is one of the few Eco villas in Sri Lanka.
We made a great effort to make this paradise sustainable.
The Villa is fully powered by solar energy.
The pool uses small quantities of salt instead of daily chlorine for sanitation.
The Villa uses General Ecology filter for drinking water to minimize the use of plastic bottle waste.
The Villa is clad in natural stone to avoid the need for painting chemicals.
The Villa uses local and certified building materials.
The meals for guests are, as far as possible, prepared from fresh local produce.

The endless golden beach in front of the Villa stretches for some 30 kilometers,
bordered by a coconut palm belt and fishermen villages.
The ocean is very pleasantly warm year-round, with temperature ranging from 27 to 30 degrees Celsius
(approximately 84 degrees Fahrenheit).
In October to May mornings, the ocean is mostly as flat as a pool, inviting you and your family
for hours of splashing and bathing.
It also offers fantastic opportunities for advanced kitesurfing with one of the highest probabilities of nice wind in the world
and all the space you need for wave riding, jumping, or just freeriding.
Villa Arcadia is is happy to organize trips to visit many of the cultural and natural highlights of Sri Lanka.
Four of the Sri Lanka’s six cultural UNESCO World Heritage Sites, several national parks,
strict natural reserve of Ritigala, Knuckle mountains, or the diving and dolphin-watching sanctuary of Kalpityia
lie within 150 kilometers from Villa Arcadia (see more under Excursions).
